This arc flash work jacket is designed for electricians and technicians working on or near electrical installations that present an arc flash risk.
It offers class 2 arc flash protection according to IEC 61482-1-2, with an arc rating of 7 kA for 0.5 seconds. It also has an ATPV of 33 cal/cm² according to IEC 61482-1-1.
The jacket is made from M4206 HYD technical fabric, consisting of 3 layers, with a total weight of 385 g/m². This material provides protection against heat, flames, electric arcs, welding-related splashes, electrostatic charges, as well as limited protection against certain liquid chemicals.
Its long cut, officer collar, and Velcro closure allow for practical use during electrical operations. The jacket is equipped with an external chest pocket, an internal pocket, and two side pockets.

Instructions / important remarks
This jacket is designed to protect against the thermal effects of an electric arc. It does not provide insulating protection against direct electrical contact.
It must be used with other PPE suitable for the risk assessment: helmet with arc flash visor, insulating gloves, leather overalls if necessary, arc flash trousers or coveralls, safety shoes, hearing protection, and other required equipment.
Before each use, check the general condition of the jacket: absence of tears, burns, holes, open seams, significant contamination, or visible damage.
Do not use if the garment is damaged, heavily contaminated, or if its protective properties may be compromised.
The jacket must be worn closed to ensure the intended level of protection.
