Pneumatic glove tester for insulating gloves

The pneumatic tester for insulating gloves allows for easy checking of the general condition of insulating rubber gloves. The principle involves inflating the glove using a manual pump to carry out a visual inspection under pressure and to detect any air leaks.

For a more precise check, the inflated glove can be submerged for a few seconds in water to observe the possible presence of air bubbles. This test allows for quick identification of a puncture or a sealing defect.

The tester is equipped with a valve that maintains the inflated glove during inspection, as well as two elastic rings that hold the glove securely on the cone of the tester. It is suitable for insulating gloves made of rubber.

Features

  • Manual pump for inflating insulating gloves.
  • Allows for visual inspection of air leaks.
  • Suitable for gloves made of rubber.
  • Valve that maintains the inflated glove during inspection.
  • Supplied with two retaining elastic rings.
  • Usable with simple visual inspection or immersion in water for bubble detection.

Usage

  1. Place the glove on the conical part of the tester.
  2. Secure the glove using the elastic rings.
  3. Inflate the glove by operating the red piston.
  4. Visually inspect the glove under pressure.
  5. For finer detection, briefly immerse the inflated glove in water and check for the absence of air bubbles.

Compliance / control

The tester allows for a periodic inspection of insulating gloves in accordance with the spirit of the control requirements set for gloves according to IEC/EN 60903. A visual inspection must also be carried out before and after each use.
